Who is Jesus Christ? - Steve Lawson

After Al Mohler's sermon in the morning on the second day at Resolved, everyone was dismissed till the evening. Steve Lawson and C.J. Mahaney were the preachers for that night and we were so excited to hear more about Jesus Christ. Steve Lawson preached on who our Lord Jesus Christ is, the entirety of the One we worship. Here is a recap of what I learned.
Colossians 1:15 and following
vs. 15 "He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation." - JESUS IS GOD!
vs. 16 "For by Him all things were created, both in the heavens and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities - all things have been created through Him and for Him." - JESUS IS CREATOR!
vs. 17 "He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together." - JESUS IS SUSTAINER!
vs. 18 "He is also head of the body, the church; and He is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, so that He Himself will come to have first place in everything." - JESUS IS LORD!

Everthing depends on these two questions - The heart of Christianity is Christ!
You must know the Lord Jesus Christ personally! How? By being in a relationship with Him - talking to Him (prayer), listening to Him and meditating on His Words (reading the Bible), worshipping Him, serving Him, dedicating your life to Him, loving Him, and obeying Him wholeheartedly. Every monent of every day should be dedicated to God.
5 truths about Jesus Christ:
1: Jesus is God. vs 15
2: Jesus is Creator. vs 16
3: Jesus is Sustainer. vs 17
4: Jesus is Lord. vs 18-20
5: Jesus is Saviour. vs 21-23

Jesus is Spirit - invisible. He is FULLY 100% God and was FULLY 100% MAN when He lived on earth. Jesus is completely equal - When you look at Jesus you are seeing full deity (Colossians 2:9).
5 ways to prove the deity of Jesus Christ and God:
1: His divine attributes. - These attributes only are in Jesus and God.
2: His divine works. - Only Jesus and God could perform these works.
3: His divine names. - Jesus is called only names God is called.
4: Receives worship. - Jesus receives the worship and praise that only God receives.
5: His divine equality. - Jesus baptizes in the name of God.

There is nothing "random" going on in our world, because Jesus is sustaining and directing everything at once because Jesus is before all things. He is before all things and He goes before you. He will never follow us in this earth. We will always be following Him. He is upholding your faith, your life, your marriage, your church, etc. No true believer will ever become an unbeliever because - THE FAITH THAT CONTINUES TO THE END GIVES PROOF IT WAS GENUINE IN THE BEGINNING.
We are to: submit, serve, and sacrifice for Him.
PLEASE THE LORD JESUS CHRIST.
FOLLOW THE LORD JESUS CHRIST.
OBEY THE LORD JESUS CHRIST.
He has raised from the dead. He is the firstborn from the dead. And He is the greatest from all who have risen from the grave.
He should have FIRST PLACE in everything. And when He comes again in the clouds and judges the world, every knee will bow, including those in hell. There will be no athiests in hell. Everyone will bow to the God most High because is WORTHY OF OUR ALL!!!
Oh, our LOVE FOR THE LORD MUST NEVER FAIL, MUST NEVER WAIVER, MUST NEVER DECREASE, MUST NEVER STOP FLOWING FROM A HEART THAT TRULY LOVES THE KING OF KINGS, THE LORD OF LORDS, THE RESCUER OF OUR SOULS, THE RULER OF OUR LIVES, THE CREATOR OF OUR BEING, OUR HEAVENLY FATHER!!
